ya i was up in that area this past weekend and my brother drove out on the lake. I thought he said there was close to 14 inches but i am not sure. i think it kinda varies but i did see a few out on monday so it should be ok. Although with the warm weather it might have changed. As far as fishing he didnt catch anything but that was only during the middle of the day so i would suppose they would bite in the late afternoon to early evening. I was out on Walker lake all weekend and was pretty slow. Caught a few nice crappies and some sunnies but they were very picky. Marked alot of fish but got very few to bite. Got some crappies to bite on nite crawlers if that tells ya anything! lol Talked to a few guys that had been on big pine and said that walker was the best bet rite now but boy you had to have caught much of nothing for walker to be very good. anyways hopefully i was some help.

I did well on the weekend of Dec 29 and 30. For the two nights, I kept 11 'eyes and about 15 perch. I released roughly 20 eyes and about 40 perch. The walleyes were running small, but the perch were really nice. There was 11 inches(measuerd w/tape measure) about one mile out from Amor Point. Water depth was 25 feet.

I fished Ottertail on 1/5, there was about 12 inches of ice where we fished. Fishing was slow by Ottertail standards, we kept 6 walleyes. Haven't heard of any consistent good catches on Ottertail yet. The snow is all melted off of the ice, and it's VERY slippery! If you go out, bring some Ice Cleats!
