Planning a trip to Vermilion the end of Sept. what's the smallie bite like then. Like baits, location, water depth, time of day etc.

Was up last week.The area of starting at oak
narrows,continuing west,the entire shoreline of oak island usually holds quite alot of fish.Mornings,throw it right up into the rocks,cranks,spinnerbaits,topwater chuggers/poppers.
