Headed to Walleye Retreat

Hey guys we are heading to walleye retreat resort this Saturday through the following Saturday. I have never fished the lake in the Summer and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations. Also anyone stayed at walleye retreat? Was wondering if it was nice and any good fishing spots near it? Thanks in advance.

Walleye Retreat is fine. It doesnt have<BR>a restaurant or bar but it is close to <BR>several of both.<P>It is near some of the best early season<BR>action on the lake (the Morris Point Washout)<BR>close in fishing and USUALLY going pretty <BR>good by now.<P>Fishing was real bad every where opening<BR>weekend. Then it got real good for a week<BR>and has now gone the other way again. The<BR>weather has been cool and crappy for 3 weeks<BR>now. I agree with Curt, Walleye Retreat is a nice place with well maintained grounds and well appointed cabins. No cable so if you want to watch a ballgame, you'll need to mosey over to Ballard's or Sportsman's. Cyrus may have cable in the bar.<P>Good fishing off of Pine Island or you Zippel Bay. If the wind cooperates, you should do great.

Curt and Sakman Thanks for the information. It sounds like Pine Island is the spot to be so we won't have to run all the way across the lake lol. Just getting ready to leave now. Thanks and Ill report when I get back.
