First Time LOW

Are you going to be mobile or working out of resort houses? If you're mobile I would go shallow in the am and then deeper midday and head back shallow for the night bite. Last week for us the bite was tough it took lots of coaxing to get them to go. Marked fish all day and none of the big stuff was working. We ended up getting 99% of our fish by downsizing to glow green crappie jigs and very small fatheads. Our best numbers and size came from 17-18' of water just over Pine Island. Small shiners on the dead sticks also picked up some fish. The biggest fish we had was 19" the majority were 14-17" saugs and eyes. One huge perch out deeper went 14". I'm headed up tomorrow for the last time and hope to see some bigger fish. Hope you have a good weekend, good luck and hang on. Bill
