Sounds like the bite has been somewhat finicky. Do most use a colored hook on the deadstick or are you using jigs?

I have used both with success. If I do opt for a jig i will usually use a smaller jig than my true jiggin' stick. AE jrs and Glow Devils work good as well as Northland Forage Minnows. Good luck and hang on Bill

I've been using a plain hook, no color. Split shot about 10 inches up. And an Ice Buster Bobber cut down so it barely sticks out of the water. I also equip another line with a jigging spoon and minnow head, always seem to pull a few up on that as well. <P>Good Fishin,<BR>Matt Johnson<P>------------------<BR><A HREF="http://www.firstchoiceguide.com" TARGET=_blank>First Choice Guide Service</A><P> [email protected]<BR><A HREF="http://iceleaders.com" TARGET=_blank>Iceleaders</A><BR><A HREF="http://catchn.com" TARGET=_blank>Catch-N Tackle and Bio Bait</A><BR><A HREF="http://marcumcustomerservice.com/" TARGET=_blank>MarCum</A><BR><A HREF="http://stonelegacy.com" TARGET=_blank>Stone Legacy</A><BR><A HREF="http://www.jrstackle.com/index.html" TARGET=_blank>JR's Tackle</A>

Jigobits, they are colored lead hooks. I try different stuff but always gravitate back to them.
