Hi all, first posting. Visited regularly prior to trip, figured I should return the favor.
Fished out of Twin River - first time with them, and everything was great. Five guys out on the lake Friday afternoon, all day Saturday, and Sunday morning. All told we caught about 120 saugers and eye's, keeping only those 13 inches or better (33). The biggest was just short of 17 inches. We also caught a couple of whitefish and a 5lb 'pout. A guy in the shack next to us caught and kept a 7lb, 1oz walleye.
I'm not sure about the depth, I think it was about 30 fow. We were only about 2 1/2 miles NW of Pine.
Most success came on plain red hooks and small chartreuse jigs (eigth ounce), tipped with shiner, within 12 inches of the bottom.
As others have noted, the weather was rather balmy, wreaking hovoc on Adrian's road. By Sunday, there was up to 12 inches of water/slush to plow through on certain stretches. It seemed like they were working to re-route the road around some of the worst sections on Sunday.
Highlights of the trip: two of our party were from Florida - first time out on ice. One of them (17-year-old) probably outfished us all. Great sunrises and sunsets.
Keep your bobber moving...

Patch: Thanks for your report. Glad you had a good trip, especially considering the fact that you were introducing some folks to a different side of life. Bill
