The in-laws just got a place on this lake. Where is the best place on the lake to start looking for walleyes?

Drew,

Plenty of nice spots that hold walleyes on Edward. Best and most obvious location, though, would be the long point jutting from the southwestern shoreline about 2/3 of the way east, across the lake. Depending on time of year, the weeds up on top can be holding fish, as can the weededge or even the open water basin just north of the point itself.

In fact, there are many walleyes that suspend in Edward. (It's an underfished option during the open water season). And it's the best tip I can give you for this lake.

Areas to try for icefishing also include the tip of the large point, as well as along several of the sunken humps in the central portion of the lake.

Have fun exploring-- there's a lot of walleyes out there, including many big fish.
