There isn't a forum for Red, so I'm posting here. We're heading up to LOW on the 4th for a weekend at Sportsmans.
We'd like to stop at Red Lake for a half day of crappie fishin' if it's worth the stop. Anyone been out on Red lately? What's the bite like? Any plowed roads for a 4x4?
Thanks,
Timmer

There is a forum for upper red lake all kinds of info. I was up last weekend cot all the crappies between 6:30pm and 8:30pm and 10:30 and midnight, nothing bit during the day. I stayed in a sleeper out of Mort's, it was a great time cot 15 total in two days.

Timmer: Page down to the bottom of the Forum headlines, Upper Red Lake. Lots of good info going on there. Good luck, and hang on. Bill

Timmer,
you will do fine out of Sportsman's. and as
far as Upper Red fishing it seems the fish have moved in closer to shore. the Roads are in great shape for driving! 4x4 helps get a round for sure. We have done very good on RED
using the glow jig's by "GLOW OPTIC'S" in the
green and red glow color's. Good Luck!
FISH ON!
