I have a portable in the Gull Rock area and would like to pull it over to Long Point by snowmobile. Are there any breakers between that would be a problem? Thanks.

No it would'nt be a problem. There might even be a road out to Twin Islands because Richard Babbler was going to plow one out there to retrieve that pick-up that went down about a month or so ago.

Thanks, Walleyereaper, it will save us a lot of valuable fishing time if we can cut across the lake, some years there is a large breaker out from the Twin Islands. We went out of Bablers yesterday and did notice a plowed road going east, but didn't know how far. By the way have you been reaping any walleye/sauger lately? Thanks again.

Fishing has been a little sporadic lately. I fished both Long Point and Anesons Reef Gull Rock area last weekend and did poorly. I plan on fishing tomorrow maybe at Twin Islands area. Good luck, and post a report how you did at Long.

We fished east of Gull Rock off a reef Friday, It was a nice day to be out. We tried 33', 29' and 31' it was very slow for the two of us, we only kept 3 sauger and 1 eye.

Good ice all the way, no breakers. Arnesen's have a bomer trail that goes from Rocky to the south and east side of Gull Rock and goes towards Twin Island. It will get you most of the way.

Thanks Tuna, we plan on checking it all out tomorrow.

You guys were right, smooth sleding going east from Gull Rock to Long Point. The two of us fished NNW from Twin Islands in 31'Tues. we caught about 25 sauger/walleye, kept eight. Wed. we fished east of Long Point in 30 1/2', the bite was about the same, kept nine. The old 1/4 oz. fluorescent orange & gold jig-a-bit worked best, glow green angle eye was next best. The fishing could have been better but the weather was near perfect and fun to be out.
