The plan is to head to my parents tonight, but then to leave early tomorrow morning for D.L. I have some work to do with my dad tonight, but we could meet up with you in Grand Forks in the morning if you want to do a little perch/walleye hunting on ND's ever-growing pond.

Thanks for the offer Scoot but I need to run South with a pair of clients. There be some SUMO's who need our attention down yonder.

Say Howdy to you Dad and your Bro from me. I will be puting his special SUMO deadstick rod to work the next few days. He thought I was nuts when I asked him to build it to those spech's, but it is a deady stick with circle hooks....."ups"...thats a secret.

Good hunting, I hear Tiger and Hay Bail are very good as is the mouth of Creel on the North end for eye's at dusk. Check the timber in the day and again at dusk too.

Go get-em!

I thought we might actually get to fish together! That day will come.
I'll give you a report when I get back. Good luck.

I read your report, bummer, been there done that at DL too. I heard it went slow last night from a DL guide.

We did ok down South. I wish it were a bit closer, I would be there now if I could be.

We could scrounge up 25 very nice sumo's each in 2-3 hours. Lots of other sizes to play with in-between a sumo attack, many different year classes to play with.

Some hungry pike too, they really tick me off!

They like my chubbys dang too much!

Bad gaiter, spit out my chubby!

We got two ducks. We should had more but it was fun shooting. I need to keep my face on my stock. I had pass on many birds as another group moved in on top of us. I had 5 woodies locked up and I drew a bead and I saw the other guys faces. No shot as i would killed them or wounded them. They knew we there but did not seem to care.

Great job guys!! I got 8 shots off the first one was good then I missed 7 in a row. Gordie got one and well river rat got zero. It was a hoot to hunt with them.

I have a 2018 ice castle with the GS trailer frame. Are you supposed to drill holes to let water out of the tubes or do the new GS trailers have holes in them already? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pike very active with 6-12 feet running crank baits ... also Bass !!   Been using various crank runners some off deeper weed lines 12-15 feet.    Fun trolling and having to stop because the rod was smacked hard 😃     Cret

Been awhile since I posted, busy summer but finally got the kayak back out on the Mississippi to chase after them fall smallies. The bite was really good and managed a new personal best at 21"! Bait of choice is my wacky worm, they never can resist! I'll be chasing these till ice is on the lakes. Best fishing is right around the corner, goodluck everyone!    Video:  https://youtu.be/PJOZITB0ol0
