extensions

Do I need an extension? I'll probably bring one anyway, but just curious?

I don't think we'll need one at all this year. lot's of snow for insulation will keep the ice from getting much thicker.<P>Better to have and not need though!<P>fiskyknut

Depends on your set-up. I moved a house out further yesterday & barely made it through without extension. The snow load is making for lots of water up through the hole so left the house up on 6" of snow so it wouldn't freeze in so bad, then 8" or so for the floor & skids....<BR>Time to break out the extension.<BR>Did have a good bite of 14-16" eyes & sauger all afternoon.

I assume if you are drilling right on the ice you will be ok?<P>Just got a new auger, and haven't picked up a extention for it yet. I guess I better.

I bring mine along this time of year. Its not hard to toss it in the truck! I just dont get all the questions about extensions. If you have any ? just bring it! Better safe than sorry right?
