Went out Monday and we should have went with ATM..We went west in 33 1/2 feet and was very slow. We brought home 7 eyes, and 3 sauger. One eye about 3 1/2 pounds and another a hair smaller than that, otherwise just eater fish.<BR> Today (Wednsday) had better fishing, 33 1/2 feet again but more fish. fishing with 1/4 ounce red and black, or gold and glow worked best for us.<BR> Going again Thursday and Friday and I think we'll go east and give er a whirl. Thanks to ATM for the info and I will post Thursday and Friday night and let all know haw it goes!<BR>Catch em all boys

Slushpuppy, We went west on Sunday and it was slow, much better on the east side, if you head over there and hook into a 20 plus northern see if there is a silver jig in his mouth, its my lucky jig and i want it back. Anyway good luck. adam

went out today looking for 28-30 feet of water, but after spending 45 minutes getting unstuck in the pickup, and 20 minutes shoveling out a spot for the portable....I drilled a hole and it was 33 feet deep and I wasnt about to do all that again so we fished. Did alright brought home 8 eyes and 4 saugies. Nothing spectacular but we brought home fish, and nothing under 14 inches. Going again Friday and will post the results. Anyone comming up this weekend, let me know<BR>Good luck all.

Hey fisher......I was told this morning that a guy yesterday did very good in 28 feet. Better in the afternoon, and nicer sized fish. He was over to the east. I am also going in the morning, and am going to go east and maybe try the south side of the road....not quite sure yet. What are you driving I'll keep my eye open and check in with ya.. I have a black ford 3/4 ton four door and am fishing out of a good old fasion blue tarp portable. Good luck buddy and maybe we will see ya on the pond.. by the way....gold and glow rock and rolls on our bobber poles did the best today..

Hey Skyndalive - how are the Sportsman's houses? I'm headin' that way next Saturday. Did you ever bring your portable with and use the rental house as "base camp"?

Fish4ed,<BR>Sportsman's is a great place to stay. Very nice lodge, restaurant.....bar......live music.......pool......hot tub.<BR>The fish houses are nice and cozy. But of course you're limited to sitting in one spot all day....we still managed to catch our limits everyday though in years past. We never brought portables with because we always rode out to the houses in their bombers. Another downfall to riding out on the bombers is that they pick you up just at the start of the prime time evening fish. That's why we are changing our attack to fishing out of our portables instead. Just got done cleaning 10 more for the freezer....VERY SLOW fishing today..fished frm 9:30this morning to 4:30 this afternoon and like I said kept 10. Threw back quite a few smaller fish (8-13") but all in all slow day. Fished in 271/2 feet and to the east just on the north side of the road about 500 yards to the east of the split in the road..I think the fish are still in 31-33 feet of water....but thats just my opinion..well thats it....good luck this weekend all and catch a bunch

Sorry we missed you today Slushpuppy, I looked for you. We fished in a rental to the east almost to where the road circles back to the west in 28 1/2', it was very slow for us, we kept nine and threw back a few, we quit @ 3:00. Will be back for more next week.

Skyndalive,<BR>You should have a good time up there, I haven't been out on LOW since the ice was about 7-8" thick this year. I would probably head out to Long Pt. maybe Zipple Bay area if I was heading out next week. We've done pretty consistent there in the past at this time of year.<P>You guys better make a trip down to Red too. I know Koop will tell you they didn't catch a single crappie when there group was there a couple weeks ago. The fishing pressure is entirely different during the week. Went out of Rogers on Monday and picked up a limit fairly easily. They weren't going nuts but it was a crappie every 5-10 minutes once the sun set. Plus the walleyes were going nuts before the crappie bite set in.<P>Good Luck & Have Fun

Hi Hansen,.....Long time, No see.<BR>Yeah, I was with Koop at Red and not one crappie to be had. The walleye bite was alot of fun, though. We might take some time to try Red again on this trip, depends on what kind of luck we're having on LOW.<BR>We're going to fish out of Long Point for the first couple of days and then decide where to go from there.
