Minnewawa Ice Out

Recommended Posts

GPFEIFER

Shouldn't be long now. I was up this past weekend and the ice was black and looked like a good amount of open water out in the middle by the reed islands. With todays highs and wind, the ice could be gone this week.

If the weather stays the same (60s) The first place I would look for crappies is the bay that leads in to horseshoe. Check for pockets of plants. I plan on check the channel between horseshoe and wawa of sh-t and giggles. They might be in there but I would very quiet. If you see a pack of people, do not fish by them. Find area in the bay with a few people around. C& R, you will get good size ones now. I love to see a large male turning black on you hook smile.gif
