Lyons Sleepers

Heading up in a couple of weeks to try a sleeper house for the first time. Anybody had any luck with Lyons? Not sure what to expect so any info. would be apprecitated.

Beers,<BR>I've fished out of Lyon Sleepers for over 15 years and have been pleased with the accomodations and fishing. In fact, I just got back Wednesday from a three day/night trip. Houses were warm and the fish bit pretty well dispite the cold weather and fronts that came through. Tim Lyon is a good guide and a knowledgeble outdoors person. If you need more info, let me know. I stayed with Tim the weekend after Christmas. Caught a lot of fish and had a good time. He is a good guy and will help you with whatever you need. I would recommend his place to anyone. Thanks for the info! We are counting down the days and can't wait to get back up there. Is there any power source in the houses other than the gas lights and heat? Anybody had any luck in his houses after dark? We don't really plan on catching much more than a buzz after dark but a few fish would be nice.

There is only the propane heat and lights in the house. The one thing that I wish I would have brought with was a lantern of some kind. There were 2 or 3 lights in there, but over the table it would have been nice to have some extra light.

Huntnfish,<BR>That's exactly what we thought a few years ago. I bought a small lantern that runs on the 1 pound propane tanks and it hangs perfectly above the table. It also came in real handy when we cleaned fish in the late afternoon. As for a power source, one of our guys has a portable power pack that we have used for the electric filet knife and locator batteries.<BR>jig-em
