I was up at LOW last week and noticed a few people using these glow bead trebles. They were fishing them as a plain hook it looked like. Did not pay enough attention to how they were set up but heard on shore they were doing well with them.
I was wondering how to set these up on a rod?
Were they using a spoon above and then some line to attach the glow treble? Plain under a bobber? Also, what do you need to do to keep them legal?
Any help would be appreciated. From what I heard guys were doing real well with them.

See this link:
http://www.customjigsandspins.com/specialty_items/slip_dropper.html
The spoon is adjustable on your line, so the length of line between the spoon and the treble hook can vary. In MN, is in illegal to fish with just a plain treble hook, for it is considered 3 hooks - however, it is legal when part of an artificial lure - From the 2003 MN Fishing Regulations Booklet: "A treble hook, when not part of an artificial lure, is considered three hooks and is not legal.
Notice in the link the picture at the bottom of the treble hook. I'm not sure whether that becomes an artificial lure by adding that sleeve, or if it could be used alone.
What's nice about the slip droppers (link above) is that you can adjust them. If the fish are aggresive, I fish them more like your standard spoon, witht the spoon right down on the hook. If the fish are down there, and not aggresive, i've moved the spoon up a foot and used it as an attractor.
Hope this helps out a bit. I have used them with success, but no greater results than other methods. They will be tough to find in a store, for most wholesaler's (and therefore retailer's) don't carry them. I ordered them straight from the company and it still took a long time and 4 phone calls for me to get them.
Good luck and tight lines

Thanks
When I searched a few of the sites, including Custom Jig, I thought it was just the treble hook they were selling, so that is how I searched. I know Nils has just the hooks also. But now I see the rig.
I think I saw these hooks at one of the bait stores as you come into Baudette from the South.

Made a quick trip before the weekend rush on Vermilion. Ice was in very good condition. Didn't see any slush or water on any of the roads out from McKinley Park. There are plowed roads on both side of the staked snowmobile trail coming out from the landing. The road to the left goes out toward Birch Island, and there is a spur road going to the left (west) a couple hundred yards out. The road on the right side goes out toward Ely Island. There is a short spur road going east about half mile out. The water came up under my fish house about another 1½ inches when I drilled my holes. Looks like I will be going back up early next week to block my house up higher. The small amount of new snow is really drifting up and adding weight. You may get water on the ice, or find slush if you drill holes in new areas. There is about 15% bare ice where the wind has blown it off. Many of the drifts are very high and hard, so you could get stuck on them. Fishing was average. Best bites were from 9-10am and 11-1230 when I quit. Biggest walleyes was only 16¼", then the next biggest was 13.75". Reporting lengths in quarter inches because I can't seem to find any big walleyes. Good luck fishing, be careful driving around, and be courteous to others.
