Cutfoot Sioux

Hello, thinking about making a little excursion north and would like to try some crappies in Cutfoot Sioux. Don't have a four wheeler or snowmobile, not sure about driving on lake yet. How far a walk is it from a landing to the usual spots to fish. Anything within a half mile or so isn't too bad. Thanks.

It's not that bad of a walk out there, I've done it many times. The bite has been slow lately though, was up there a week ago and nobody was doing any good, picked up a couple. Didn't mind going up there again. A lot of the little lakes around are doing real well though.

I was up on Big Cutfoot yesterday AM and fished from 9-12. At 10 AM i caught 3 crappies...bam.bam.bam and then nothing else.
I had fish on the vexi the whole time. Lots of sniffers and very few biters. The 3 I caught were on a dead stick rod with a 2 tone marmooska jig and a waxworm. I threw just about everything i had at them and only managed 3 and maybe a bite or two that i missed. Don't get yer hopes up or try a smaller lake in the area.
