I'm looking for any tips or info on early ice fishing on Bowstring.

For crappies look to the rock pile.

Out from the wind mill on the northwest corner always has people fishing crappie. Last year was a tough year for them anywhere out there but that area got the most pressure. I haven't made it over to Bowstring yet, fishing the smaller lakes so far. Anyone know how thick the ice is on Bowstring? Thanks!!

I don't know how thick the ice was last weekend, but was thick enough for four-wheelers. Any tips for Eyes??

I fish walleye a lot in summer but not in winter. I normaly fish perch and crappie. I am going to try it though next week for all of the above. I will post how it goes. If you go out, good luck.

No Crappies, about 25 pike most were small and 9 walleyes, 5 keepers.
