On Ice: Snowmo or Truck for Portables?

Just pumped about going up on Jan 30! Staying in Warroad at the Super 8...Little Bro and I. <P>Any suggestions about on ice mobility? I have an Otter Lodge with a snowmobile, but I think it might be easier to slide it in and out of the truck and move around that way. What do you LOW veterans think?

With as much snow as there is on the ground and more on the way, I would take your sled.

Was up at Long Point today and we brought our sled. To our amazement there were no vehicles close to shore with trailers, they were all out by the houses. We got around fine with our Tahoe even with a sled and trailer in tow. However we didn't stray to far off off Long points plowed road. I would bring my sled if I was going to go off the beaten path. Tallest drift I saw was about 2 ft. most under 1 ft though

Yellow dog, We were on the lake yesterday. There are still plenty of 4wdr trucks driving all over...but bring the sled anyway (you can always park the trailer/sled some where.) We only got stuck once,(rocked it out no problem).
