Has anyone ever camped at any of the boat to sites? I’ve never even fished birch, let alone camped at any of those sites. Just looking for any reviews or recommendations. Is any boat launch better than another for overnight parking?

I have fished Birch in the past its a beautiful lake . There is a great landing just outside of Babbitt with plenty of room for parking. There is a Forest Service campsite and landing East of Babbitt and another by the bridge on Hwy 1 . I am not sure if remote campsites require reservations or permits. There is good info on the DNR site or you may want to call the Houseboat  rental outfits or the city of Babbitt. Millers bait in Babbitt would be another source for info. Let me know if the Crappies are biting. Good luck.

We were just up there staying at riverpoint and explored a couple of the campsites up in the river area.  One had wolf poop and tracks all over it.  Beautiful lake.  Beautiful site though we never located the latrine on that one.  Remote campsites are first come first served and free.
There seemed to be plenty of sites available during the week we were there.  A handful of houseboats were bopping around from site to site but not much other traffic.
Fishing was tough for us but some other groups got on some really nice crappies and a few small walleyes.  Didn’t see much else come in.  My depth finder crapped out a day into the trip which was frustrating and had kids along so not much patience to try and find fish.
My other fishing excursions out there have been tough as well but did manage a 41” pike a few years ago trolling along a deeper shore.  Know there are nice fish in there and probably numbers, I just don’t know where to be yet.  There’s another landing at the forest service campground if you’re looking to be in that area of the lake vs by Babbitt.  If you launch there beware of submerged rock about 75 yards out from landing, my dad hit it pretty hard coming in a little hot.
