where to find a rapala cd-18 sinking Magnum

I've had an old rapala cd-18 since I was a little guy and the wife has hung it on the wall and won't let me fish with it anymore. Just wondering if anybody knows a store i can go find this at. I've been to the Cabela's in Rogers and owatanna both, sportsman's Warehouse in coon rapids and about every Walmart bait shop and gas station I've stopped at with no luck. Really miss using this lure as it is the most productive thing I've used outside a 3 inch red and white spoon.

If you check online resellers they often have old discontinued lures.  They usually come at a premium though.

eBay would probably be best bet. I found a discontinued flat rap on there once...of course I waited too long and didn’t get it 😞

Leech Lake.  I am wondering what to expect.  I think I might go out on Boy bay using the public landing on Sugar Point.  First are there any safety concerns, ice conditions to worry about, Landing safe?  Second what can I expect for fish? Kind of looking for some nice panfish during the day and a stray walleye or two towards evening

Good morning all. I was perusing old posts and guys talked about amish spears made near Long Prairie, MN. Does anyone know if they still make them? How do I contact them? Does anyone know of any other makers? Thank you!

After fishing every handful in years in Minnesota for 40 years, I'm FINALLY going to bring my wife up to Vermillion and see it for the first time.   I'm chasing smallmouth and pike only (well, I'll gladly wrestle with a fooled Musky but not fishing for them).   If the largemouth fishing is better than the smallmouths, we'd probably chase some of them too.    Staying at Ludlows on the island.   Boy I'd love ANY help with where to start my searching for the smallies and pike and what to key in on that time of year.   I'll have basically two days to fish and will have my own bass boat.   I am an artificial bait only guy and catch and release.   Just looking for a bunch of tugs on the line and hopefully put my wife on some action.  Any guidance or direction??

How deep are the smallies and what do they relate to that time of year?   Are the pike around visible weeds or submerged cabbage or something?   I'm coming in clueless.   Sure appreciate ANY help anyone's willing to provide.   Thanks!!!   Yancey from St. Louis, MO

Headed to Brainerd Area July 9-11 coming from Colorado to visit friends. Well actually my girlfriend is I am tagging along to hopefully catch some fish with my flyrod And or jigs. Seeking advice on which lakes and tactics and anything else helpful to help maximize fishing  time in your state. I will have access to a canoe on Hubert Lake. Any and all advice would be much appreciated if anyone is into flyfishing Stillwater and would like to go or show me some pointers on your home waters That would be awesome thanks looking forward to any responses.

Averaged 18" with a range of 16"-20". Starting tomorrow I should get out everyday while the access holds up.

I am sure there will still be safe enough ice to venture on next weekend.  The forecast looks way more like spring starting tomorrow than winter though.  As far as I can see, its nothing but 40's and even 50 in a week.  Its going to make for a sloppy mess out there, but it will still be safe enough to walk on.  The access point could be in rough shape though.   Bear in mind that most game fish seasons have now closed as of yesterday.  The only season open now is panfish.  Specifically targeting a walleye, northern pike, or bass is illegal and could get you in big trouble.  There are exceptions (mainly on some border rivers), so I would encourage you to check the regulations ahead of time.

I am new to this site and was intrigued by some of the conversations.  Sounds like a good time gathering in Richmond, wish I could be there but I am in Missouri and wanting to come up for one more ice fishing trip this coming weekend. ( Mar 5-6, 2021) I fished at Cedar Lake in Faribault with my son about a 3 weeks ago and had a blast.  I can sneak away one more time this weekend but would like to know what the ice conditions look like now.  Can any of you offer me any suggestions as to the thickness and conditions?  Looking forward to one more trip to MN this season.  (We just do not have good ice in Missouri, will not even hold up a mosquito!!!!)   Thanks and enjoy your adventures.

There was an article in the Star Tribune about the operating costs of public natural resource agencies and their loss of revenue yesterday.  Its quite obvious based on the chart provided that the number of people participating is slowly declining and operating costs are staying steady or slowing going up.  There was also a projection given and if its accurate, operating costs will exceed revenue in 2025.  This is exactly what I'm talking about.  Creating obstacles, whether they may seem small in the grand scheme of things in terms of an overall budget, will make an impact.   2020 was different because there was a surplus of people participating in outdoor activities referred to as "the covid crowd" but that is not expected to continue.

bobberineyes, Did they have the Federal Waterfowl stamp?

How many inches of ice is out there?  I think there will be open open water in a month based on the current forecast.  Especially if we get a couple days of rain in.

any idea when the tullibee might star biting off stony point on leech............i'd sure like to give that a go again.

so it looks like i'm gonna be bailing on the kitty GTG. my perch trip got changed to that same day due to the weather forecast and the real possibility of iffy ice at that time......was planned for march 27th. this is a real bummer........as i was really looking forward to actually meeting up face to face with a bunch of you guys.   but if i have to choose between fishing catfish over going north to the cabin and chasing perch on winnie then chasing crappies or sunfish on lakes like bowstring ....i'm heading north every time.

Preliminary results of a study testing white-tailed deer spleens for presence of neonicotinoid pesticides show exposure of deer throughout the state, according to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR). Discuss below - to view set the hook here.
