No More Crooked Holes

That's the ticket!!!  No more crooked holes.  I used some 3M spray adhesive (purple can) to mount a $3 bubble level to the top of my auger.  While drilling there is not much to watch and by watching the level, I get straight holes every-time.  See below.

What a great idea, simple, effective. Getting 2, one for brother-in-law's iON that seems to drill 45 deg. angled holes and chipping the access holes in my Wheel House.

on a more serious note, the only time i really notice the auger cutting crooked holes is when the blades are dull.

 

it seems to me if you run it at to much of an angle, the auger doesnt cut right??? or is that just in my head?????????????
