For sale by original owner: 1988 Ranger 680T fishing boat, w/40 motor, trailer, cover., and extras below.

Specs: 17’ long, 6’8” beam, 6 people, 1300 lb capacity, 60hp max

Color: gun metal flake, gray hull, with red accent trim, rope rub tail

3 original pedestal seats, livewell, baitwell, 9’ rod locker, two dry compartments, running lights, 8amp 2 bank charger, new batteries, bilge

Motor: 1988 Johnson (elec start tiller)  J40TELCEC 2cycle, hydraulic assist tilt. (light weight), two portable gas tanks.

Tailer: shorelander roller (can launch at shallower landings) New Spare and mount, tires very good, bearing buddys, swivel jack.

Extras: full cover with poles (three years old), 2hp transom trolling motor with ranger plug, Garmin fishfinder 240 with mount. MN licensed to 2021.

Boat has open flexible flat layout. Noted for precise backtrolling tracking. Conducive to bow trolling motor mounting if desired. Boat trailers low to ground and you can reach in compartments while standing. Low profile to avoid wind sail effect. Good casting platform and a good drift boat. I raised 3 kids fishing in this boat. I am now retirement age with cabin and transitioning to triton.

      I wasn't looking for exact locations, just ideas.     I guess I don't understand the whole secrete spots thing.  I don't mind telling anyone exactly where, what and when I was fishing if I was successful.  Again, I'm not looking for that, just general ideas.  I know the lake well enough to find fish. But, I just recently, last winter, starting fishing it during winter.  I've mainly done C&R catfish, because, lets be honest they're a lot more fun to catch then walleye.

      Paul has always done things the right way.   I'm looking forward to seeing what he does at Bug Be Resort.   Another great option is Artie's Bait and Tackle or Schmidt's Landing on Big Stone lake.  Walleyes, jumbo perch, tanker gills and slab crappies are all good options there.
