Lowrance Local Time And Date Issue

Question

Hoey

Beginning this fishing season, my HDS 10 no longer displays the local time.  It will display the UTC time.  I have not looked in the inter-web yet.  Just wondering if anyone has solved this issue yet?  I am assuming the GPS system updates this past winter changed something and I will need to re-flash the unit firm-ware.

LOL - Answering my own question here.  I found the solution on the Lowrance website under Support.  It is a download to update the firmware.  I have the file and the instructions to flash my unit.  I will report back when complete - maybe in a couple of weeks or so.

I ran the update on my Lowrance HDS 9 with no problems. Funny thing is my old LCX25C came up with the right date and time.
