Cold Spring Dam

Is bowfishing allowed at the cold spring Dam and could anyone give me an adress or building in the area by it so I could go fishing there. Or if anyone has any good bowfishing spots in the Clearwater/st cloud area email me [email protected]

Yes many people bowfish the Damn area in Cold spring. I did as a kid myself. Basically if comeing into Cold spring on Hwy 23 you will  see Kiess gas station take a right at the lights you will see the damn straight in front of you. For a far more productive and exciteing trip take a canoe or duck boat down the sauk river there are pods of carp hanging along blowdown areas all the way from cold spring to st cloud.

We used to bow fish the Horseshoe Chain quite a bit.  East Lake was our best part back in the day but I’m sure there are plenty of other areas that are just as good.

wonder how many trips and beers I had canoeing that stretch when I used to be a young lad.

 

had a high school buddy that lived on the river by Rockville. spent a few hours on that. even got into some walters now and then.
