Anyone fish the mud flats this weekend?

I fished off of Long Point on Saturday and then fished out on Arneson's reef on Suday. Very limited success on both days. I heard a few rumors that led me to believe that the fish were out in the mud between these two spots. Can anyone confirm this?<P>Thanks!!

We fished the flats between Zipple and Morris Point. It was slow,,,very slow. the size of walleye and sauger were small but the eelpout were huge. We tried 20', 25' and 30-31'.

Rented a house from Arneson's, the guide said we were on the mud. We had a tough time getting #'s switched colors and lures often but it was slow. On the up side we pulled a 29" and 27" walleye on Sat. <P>That helped us deal with the lack of #'s.

Arnesens is'nt on the reefs yet???????

Not the all of them, its still only around a foot of ice on some of the reefs. The house we fished in was only a few miles off of shore and we normally fish out of Ballard's or Wheeler's and were not that familier with that part of the lake so on asking what we were fishing on structure wise the said our house and the ones buy us were on the mud.<P>They were hoping to have all 12 and 14 mile full of houses by this weekend. <BR>Hope that helps,<BR>Dasfooter
