Early Ice Walleyes - Garrison Bay Report

Buddy and I went out of Garrison access on Saturday. Took the ATV out to the first break and setup in 20ft. Was a tough bite with the bright sun and clear ice. Lot of lookers and not many takers. Morning had most action. 7" of ice at the reef. I need to go back up there one day for a redemption. Might try the east side next time, heard its pretty good later in the season.  Good luck to those headed up!

Here is a video of our day

I fished the SE corner of the lake for a couple hours Saturday evening 3-5 p.m.  Set up on top in 15' of water and caught 3 eyes between 3:30-4:15.  All three seemed to be from the same year class @ 15/16".  10" of really nice ice about a 1/2 mile offshore.  Fun evening!

I was in isle Bay all weekend with the ice castle. 13.5 inches of ice.  Only got 5 all weekend. The smallest was 23 inches, biggest was 26. 20181214_204356.thumb.jpg.2785ba737e049213f8b78997341063e6.jpg20181214_204539.thumb.jpg.d1d1c523ff9ad28154a89d0b6ad612b4.jpg20181215_165120.thumb.jpg.1e247c43cdcc57343c5f113574b8d99f.jpgLots of lookers jigging. Got them all on Bobber or rattle reel. After dark or early early morning.
