Whats there not to do?  I go to Crosslake on most weekends through the spring-fall and then kids basketball keeps me home in the winters but there is always something to do or going on in the Brainerd Lakes and surrounding areas.  What ever you are looking for, you could probably find it near by!  In the Crosslake area they seem to always have different community events planned throughout the whole year such as Crosslake Days, WinterFest, BarStool Open, ST Patty's day parade, concerts in the park, flea markets periodically throughout the summer, and all the while you have many golf courses and lakes to enjoy and do what you may please!!  And that is from one of the many small communities that make up what I consider the Brainerd Lakes Area!  You have many events that take place in Nisswa, Pequot, Breezy Point, and Baxter area's also!  I would have to ask again what's there not to do in the area?!?!😎

Not all Brainerd area lakes are dead. You just have to fish when the Jet Skis are put away. 😉

The water level is still low but will be coming up after the last heavy rainfall that we got! Cliff

At the hunting shack we put up a pulley and run the winch cable from the 4 wheeler through it and hoist em up.

ps I would be happy to provide closeups of particular areas or the insets on the map.    Especially if they are of your hot spots.

It  Came today. At first glance it looks good.

Note to self.  Keep your "Packers Suck" T-shirt in the fishing boat for all future fish pics.   Ties are like head butts, everyone loses.

And this is why you ALWAYS check out FM. I had a crazy busy summer as I worked full time so my weekends and evenings I was always doing somthing and I never just sat down. So I just noticed I missed this great “ goodie” package. Darn!

A chain, a $20-$30 come-along and your set. Wrap chain around rafter hook up come- along and away you go. Been doing it this way for many many years without trouble.

I'll say this. As a Vikings fan, Mrs. Skunked Again was pretty emotionally upset in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. She warmed up a bit when her team came roaring back in the 4th. I don't think either of us would have survived the four hour drive back to MN without a tie.
