I recently upgraded my Hummingbird 998 SI and 958 units to ethernet. My boat has two external GPS pucks; one on the bow and one on the stern. I want my bow locator (958) to read off the front GPS puck and I want my dash locator (998 SI) to read off the stern GPS puck.
The fella that rewired my boat suggested that I continue to use the interlink device for the GPS pucks. Based on my above objectives, is this correct? ...or should i just have the bow puck wired to the bow 958 and stern puck wired to the dash 998...and not use the interlink?

I might have missed a guess, but here are the ones that I noted:
JerkinLips – March 27th, then April 7th
Brianf. – March 28th
Bobberwatcher – April….
MikeG3Boat – April 10th
SkunkedAgain – early April, then April 21st
Definitely a tough year for guesses, as it seemed to be a no-brainer early ice out. Then it got cold and snowed again.
