Crappies in the South Bays

Any current crappie bite in the bays?  Isle?  or?  Thanks!

They are there but finding them is the fun part

Isle bay is over rated. Try the others and look for cabbage or green weeds. 8-14 feet is my normal depths. It’s just finding them that takes time.

I have never catching crappies on the big pond, i imagine they have some size when do find them?

I may be giving it a try next Sat. Seems like the best time is when it melts down a bit right before honey combing.  Not sure if they move in to eat all the craap felling through the ice but seems like they move in the bays more then. If at all some years?

The issue now is lake travel. Getting to much wet snow for vehicles without anyone plowing, kind of heavy and wet for hand pulling a sled and to warm and heavy to take the sled back out of storage!

I bet moose could pull our 3 sleds.......  with us sitting on them!

Yes they are taking a beating, but as sportsman we  can still go up there and have a burger and beer. Or buy some jigs, bait, or anything.

Dang, I have been watching the bay web cam for a month waiting for the snow to melt down to give it a try. And every time I look at it there is More Snow!
