as i age and brain ferts seem to happen more often I thought it would be a good idea to put phone number and name on items like tackle boxes, rod bags and items like that. I see things listed as lost and found at times online and maybe this would help getting stuff to owner quicker.

Great Tip Royce.  We all forget and loose things no matter our age that's for sure   Adding a phone number or your name might help get back the items especially if they are found by the right people. Just look at how much a person has invested   One small box of ice jigs has a huge cost. I cringe every time I hear someone lost something always hope it doesn't happen to me, but by putting some sort of ID on I up my odds of getting it back.

I use luggage tags on my vexilars, buddy heater and rod/tackle bags.  I've also attached an address label on the back of my IPhone before putting my case on it.  Great tip by original poster.

Great idea since it seems I can hide my own Easter eggs these days.

I live on Little Cormorant Lake, I believe sometime next week that it will be open.  The lakes out there are changing fast!

we got a lot snow down in the twin cities than up north and temps are a lot higher than it was in 2013.   I think we will have enough open water to fish the opener.   No one needs to cancel!  I HOPE any way

what do you use for bait?  I heard you can't use left over fish guts.   do you have to soak them?  sorry not sure what that process is called.

meerkat, Many people eat the rusties. Very tasty but like walleye wings it takes a lot for a meal! Cliff

I just got an e-mail from Brent Flatten in the Tower Fisheries Office stating that they hope to get the Dock in by Monday if the river clears of ice. Will set the trap nets on Tuesday and the first net lift will be on Wednesday. They may even collect eggs Wednesday if there are enough ripe females. Very good news! Thanks for your update Brent!
