Bad accident on Chisago Lake - Jan 26th

An eight year old boy was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition after a snowmobile hit him and his father on Chisago Lake last night.   Some of the relatives have come online to give more info to the group, along with some photos.  Apparently he was upgraded to stable condition today.  Details on how to support he family not available yet.  

I have no relation to the family nor do I know them personally, but wanted folks here to be aware of what happened in case they want to help in some way.

The family has a donation site set up now.  Looks like the boy is in pretty rough shape even though in "stable" condition.   I've not seen any word on how his father is doing, he was taken to the hospital too.

Friends of the family are organizing an ice fishing get-together on Chisago lake with all proceeds going to the family.   I'll quote some of the info for anyone who doesn't use Facebook.

"We are having a memorial Fishing event in memory of Alan Jr. Geisenkoetter. We will be hosting a silent auction along with a raffle. There will be food to purchase. We are asking for a 5 dollar donation, and all proceeds will go to the Ellie and Allan Geisenkoetter. This will be a fishing event NOT a fishing tournament in memory of Alan JR. we ask this to be a family oriented Dry environment. I will be post a sign up for volunteers below. The event will take place at the boat launch"

I wish I could have heard that earlier. Want to come and support this family. What a tragedy. No words about how stupid some people are and dangerous. My prayers for that little angel. RIP
