Did you cook the fish right with the soup or cook it then add it in?  Fish is so hard because it becomes so flaky the more it cooked and then falls apart. :(

I did the soup, let it simmer a couple hours, then added pieces of fish half hour before eating some.

32 oz chicken stock. 1 can cream of chicken and 1 can water. 1 T butter. get it hot then add 1/2 onion, garlic clove all chopped up. 1/2 tsp oregano, 1/4 tsp parsley,a little pepper and seafood magic. bag of mixed veggies. boil then simmer a couple hours. cut up fish in inch or so pieces and add then simmer 30 minutes or so. I used 5 crappies. first time trying this way. tasty! I added a bit of pepper again before eating.  stir easy and the fish should stay fine.

this would be great with bass also. I have made a couple versions with bass and really good. a guy could throw a few thick noodles in also.

Why, as it is I have some crappies in the freezer right now.  Will have to try.  Thanks.  :)

The three things I told my wife that I was going to do once I retire.  Is stay home and bug the heck out of her and-

1) Make hearty home made soups!

2) Make big loaves of home made artisan beards!

3) Smoke massive pieces of smoked meat!

Then go to Heaven!

Looks good!

I did a crappie jambalaya a few months back and that was pretty darn good too.  Its good to have some alternatives to the frying pan!

Zatarain's!   I was in a hurry.

I figured when I have more time and more fish I'd use an actual recipe.

Add some starch. Needs to be thicker!  Well next batch, if you ever catch a Walleye! ;)

eyes go in the grease. :)  I like it this way. no starch needed. The one can of cream of chicken is perfect. :) starch would make my belly bigger.
