Anyone know the water temp these days? I see below freezing temps on the way for next week at night, into the 30s during the day.

Had 49 on Monday.  Dropped to 45 on Wednesday, but back up to 47 on Thursday.  Had ice on the shoreline when I went duck hunting on Monday.

For anyone that is interested - 46* in the main basins and closer to 40* in shallow water as of 6pm. Half of our bay had skim ice on it this morning

Didn’t you break ice to get to your place last fall?

Given that there was still big hunks of ice floating a day or so ago, probably pretty freeking cold

57 in Black Bay and 44 in Niles Bay today.  The lake is changing by the day and the fishing reflects it.

I had 66 pretty much everywhere on the west side at 5pm today.  Marking most fish is 15 to 21.

After a couple hot calm days, saw around 80 today...

Are these close to normal temperatures for this time of year?

Thursday morning I had 70F.  When I left Saturday morning it was 74F, and 76F near shore.  I would say these are typical temps this time of year, and it will vary with sun/wind effects.

It has been calm for a couple days so it might just be surface temperature.   A good breeze to mix things up and it would probably come down a couple degrees.   My experience is that typical summer water temps are in the mid to high 70s.    A few days of sun and calm will push the top few feet into the low 80s

I found 78 in HeadOLake and Wakemup this weekend, but 80-81 in shallow bays. Swimming feels great right now.

A couple windy days and cool nights did a job.   Temp was 72.5 this evening on Wakemup
