Here's a dandy brown I caught from a local stocked lake.

Here's a good one from a few weeks ago.  Biggest one I've caught in a few years. Brown1.thumb.jpg.f2fde4f8b8ebcc22f2b2a52eed3d5fec.jpg

Wish I was out fishing too!  This is the closest thing for me right now but man it's way too quiet.  I use this community to fish vicariously when I'm stuck inside.  Hopefully I will get out next week.  I think I may even try some night fishing during the next full moon...

I'm new to these old quiet forums so please let me freshen this one up a bit.

Anybody fish Trout lake in WF chain or Kabekona lake or Roosevelt lake with any success?

Really Kabekona up by Leech. I don't see any trout listed in that lake on the DNR page?

Doesn't mean that they aren't in there. They have stocked Lakers back in the 80s and in the 2000s. I have heard of a handful getting caught by walleye fisherman. And kabekona river contains brook trout... So they must not know they're not supposed to be in the lake because a friend of mine caught a 19" there years ago. Stupid trout can't read😕

I fish Trout on WF Chain occasionally here and there...I have yet to connect with one myself but I have friends that have all landed a few trout there in the past 2 years.  I have heard of some big ones seen out there

My 115 merc 4 stroke (2006) is acting up.  At about 2/3 throttle, 30 mph, 4000 rpm's the motor seems to cavitate or rev up and the tach pops way up, but we didn't speed up.  I quickly backed off and ran at a lower speed.  I have it trimmed up on plane but not overly so.  It did it once at a lower speed as well.  Most of the time at lower speeds it riund fine. Brought it in and they looked at it and pulled the prop and everything looked fine there etc.  The motors lower plate seems to be located correctly, right at the bottom of the boat.  Going on one last trip, and don't really have much time to bring it in for an extensive diagnosis, might need to baby it and stay close to the landing.  Any ideas?

Samsung Note 10+.  It does have a great camera.  Had to use the digital zoom on that shot.  Wish I had my wildlife camera with me.

Try Darren Troseth at 3 rivers fishing adventures.  Fall is sturgeon  time.   He also specializes in catfish with a shot at a trophy.

No doubt @papadarv!  They’re really good at it too.  The small family flocks have joined together where I’ve been seeing geese and now number 50+ typically.   We saw some geese and a few ducks today but didn’t shoot any.  We didn’t find anything worth setting up on.  Pretty amazing how slim the duck population is up here.  The biggest flock I’ve seen, including the drive up, numbered 5 birds.  It’s been mostly random singles and pairs.   The flooding up here has been amazing too.  Something like 10 inches in 25 hours.  Roads are flooded and the ditches are raging rivers.  The downstream sides of the bigger culverts look like power plant discharges.   We’re considering other options for tomorrow.
