Ice is 13-15 in thick, fished 1/2 mile east of resort. don't know about a bad spot call the resort they'll tell ya better.

I was fishing out of Long Point 3 days ago. There were big trucks, suvs, and even cars out there. I was in one of their rental shacks. With heater going all the time theres only a foot of ice uder the shack. But my buddy drilled a hole away from the shack and he said there was a good 22" to 24" of ice. They have a spot marked where you cross the bad spot, It looked pretty good. Hope this helps. Good luck

We drove out on the ice today at Long Point Resort for the first time this year, we had the snowmobile along in case, but we were given the go ahead that we could get to our house a half mile to the east. There is the usual crack to the east that we crossed in the morning. Kelly had it bridged when we came off, with no problems. Fishing was the slowest we have had so far this year, we kept about 1 limit and returned about 10 sauger. We fished in 32'.
