Pictures 2016

Recommended Posts

With the weather getting nice is anyone else getting outside with there dog more? It would be neat to see pictures of everyone's dogs at the park, in the lake or in the back yard throughout spring and summer this year. So get out there and don't forget to take pictures lets see those dogs!

I was outback trying to pick up sticks that fell throughout winter but Tango wanted to take away every stick I picked up. I found a Frisbee so I threw that around for him for awhile.

Good looking dog fish-for-life.

Dogs are defiantly enjoying the weather! I am putting my auger away after this weekend and calling the ice season this year.

Had my friend over with his Golden Retriever last time Tango couldn't keep up but now he is faster and gets the bumper or Frisbee before her then he taught her by running in circles around her. I forgot to take pictures though. Kind of sad tango leaves for training in 20 days

Stevenson Gun Dog and Obedience in Ramsey... Hes like 3 miles away from my house so its pretty convenient. I have I heard nothing but good things from him too and I like the fact that he only trains 8 dogs at once.

Here are a couple pics over the past week or so of my new pal, Lindy.  She's 8.5 weeks now.

Here are a couple pics from Lindy's first fishing trip this morning. After running laps around the boat, sniffing and tasting everything, and a few short retrieves from the front of the boat she was exhausted.

It was too hot for outside training this week so we went to the lake and Lindy learned to swim (not that it takes much to get a lab to swim...). She wouldn't go any deeper than she could touch yesterday but had a blast splashing around. Today she dived right in with zero hesitation.

The UPS guy dropped off a platform and more bumpers so we had to take a break from our regular training to practice our hero shots. She's too young to jump off the platform but I wanted to start working on the place command with the legs folded up.

That was it. We discussed on ice today if smurfy was a human or a bot. Bot won

I think he cancelled because you bailed! 😄
    • Wanderer
That’s even looser than it was before.  It was always an issue with tournaments and when I fished some of the out of state events you couldn’t cull at all and had to quit fishing once you boxed your limit.  MN tourney limits were always 1 under the state limit to comply.
    • smurfy
So technically speaking then I'm not bailing, right!!!🤪🤭😉

      👍🏻

Tournament exception only - from working live wells.     Been that way for years so if it’s different now it’s been a recent change.

You can’t cull from box or bucket? My bucket is full of water and have culled on ice a few times. But only if lively fish
    • Wanderer
Not supposed to do that...  We don’t take it as serious in MN as other states but once it’s in the box, bucket, shore or on the stringer, you own it.

      Good idea captain Ricky

I really hate to do this, but after seeing what the access points around the Richmond area looked like when I left the lake today. I am going to cancel this year's cool cats. I do not feel the access on Horseshoe with Hold up to vehicle traffic though the week. The main lake ice will almost certainly be good for a while yet.  But, the access  will not be useable after another day or two of traffic.
