Challenging fishing but overall a good week!

The past week has been a week of tough weather conditions that have really put me and my clients to the test but overall it produced quite a few nice walleyes!

Many of these fish were caught in spots that I normally do not fish unless I am forced to fish there because of extreme winds that will not allow me to fish my preferred spots.

All of these fish were caught on Lindy rigs. Some rigs had a small pink float next to the hook and others came on a plain hook. Snells were all 3 ft. to 4 ft.. Bait was 1/2 crawler.

Depths ranged from 8 ft. to 26 ft.

All were caught in spots that had rocks very close by or right in the rocks.

The largest walleye is a 30-1/2 inch fish caught yesterday at noon.

The walleyes were packed full of small perch or crayfish depending upon which area they were caught in.

Nice fish Cliff.  Do you ever pump air into your crawlers when not using a float?

No, I never pump up my crawlers! In fact I never use a whole crawler! 1/2 crawler seems to work the best on Vermilion.

Fantastic array of trophy sized walleyes! What most people won't realize is the horrific conditions on the lake during the time those were taken! Some of us stayed in and watched Family Feud while you went out and slayed them. Good job! Bravo! One question though: why would you fish in a boat the color of a martini olive when you have that beautiful new one?  Just kidding, keep up the good work!
