Pulled the trigger on a leftover Elk license!!

My elk hunting plans for this fall were wiped out when I changed jobs mid-summer, but a buddy and I have been scheming and searching for a way to still put together a western elk hunt. After a couple weeks of researching all the western states with open tag opportunities we finally settled on a leftover cow elk tag in Wyoming. 

 

We've been on the phone and on the computer the last few days and I finally made the leap and purchased my tag. $591 is a lot of money, but the prospect of filling a tag is pretty promising. I cant wait!!

Very nice!  Buddy at work has been elk hunting out there for a number of years and does well.  Not saying he fills his tag every year, but the odds are usually pretty good.  Hope you hammer a nice one and put some tasty elk steaks in the freezer!!
