Taking a kid fishing help

Hello,

I am taking a young girl out fishing this Wednesday who has been through far too much in her 12 years of life. She is the toughest little girl I have ever met and brings happiness and joy to anyone she comes in contact with. She is a past student of mine who has a very aggressive form of Cystic Fibrosis. When she was a student in my class (5th Grade) she missed most of the school year because she was awaiting a lung transplant in Texas. She was finally able to receive that transplant and things were going great until recently when her body started rejecting her new lungs:-(  She and her family now have to hope they can get on the transplant wait list again in order for her to survive. She is an avid outdoors girl who loves hunting and fishing but has never caught a northern in her life. My plan is to take her out on a metro lake this Wednesday to help her catch a big one and to have a fun day during an incredibly difficult time. I'm hoping to give her some fishing lures and things to help make the day special for her and I'm wondering if there is anyone out there who has an interest in donating fishing lures or apparel to help make her day great. She probably wears youth medium clothing (she's small for a girl who just finished 6th grade).

I live in Shoreview and am taking her fishing on Lake Owasso this Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Despite the fish kill two years ago, the northern population seems to be doing pretty well and I think there is a good chance of me finding her some fish to catch there. If anyone has anything that they think she might like, I can pick it up on Monday or Tuesday of this next week as long as it's close to the Shoreview area. Otherwise I can meet people at Lake Owasso on Wednesday around 11:00 at the public landing or beach area if anyone happens to be in the area.
