My family and I are renting a cabin on shamineau june 28 through the 5th. I have never fished it before.  Just wondering how the walleye and panfish bite is there. NOT looking for any secret spot just wondering what types of presentations to try.  Any help or tips greatly appreciated. thanks

Shamineau is a good multispecies lake.  Walleye fishing should be pretty good while you are there.  I would probably be dragging leeches or crawlers around during low light times, but because of clear water, trolling cranks after dark can be dynamite.  There are tons of bluegills, but growth rates are not good and most fish are small.  You may get a meal of 7" fish, but you will have to sort.  Crappie fishing can be fantastic and some bigger fish are present.  Largemouth bass fishing is very good, muskie fishing can be tough, but large fish are there.  Northern pike will be common but you must abide by a 24-36" protected slot.  You should not have trouble finding good eaters below 24" though.  Good luck!
