Memorial weekend

Hey all, I'm heading up Friday for a long weekend up on vermilion and plan on catching some bass.(Smallies and Largies). I am not looking for spots as I know where to catch them. I would just like to know if the bass will be shallow,1-5 ft preparing to spawn, or a little deeper 6-10 staging for the spawn. Just curious as I haven't been up there since before opener this year and don't know the water temps in any the bays. Thanks!

Last Memorial Day Weekend water temperatures were high 50's , just getting to 60. Bass were just moving up. Seemed like, once it hit low 60's they were really active up close to shore. Most articles you read suggest smallmouth spawn/move up when temperatures hit 60.

Current water temps look to be 55. Watch the water temp reports and fish accordingly.
