E collars

Does anyone have any advice/ recomendations for ecollars?  I have a 50lb black lab.  We will be hunting grouse and pheasants mainly.  Something with a good range, decent price, and easy to use.  Just want some feedback on what others use and some pluses and minuses.  Thanks.

I use dogtra as well and only complain is when it is very cold it drains the battery fast until it warms back up. Otherwise it's been great

Ive had SportDog.  After 5 years of almost everyday use, I replaced it.  I dont remember the previous model I had as it has been discontinued.  I did buy a Garmin upland collar, but I use a tone before using a "nick" on my dog.  The tone was too quiet and the dog could not hear it. There was no way to increase the volume, or I would have kept it. I really liked the Garmin Collar once I figured out how to use it.   I took it back and got another SportDog.

The dogtra can vibrate as well as stimulation. I've used sportdogs as well.

Thanks for the feedback guys.  I have been doing a little research and have been looking a bit at sport dog 1225... does anyone have any experience with this unit?  How does the range hold up (specifically in woods). My pup is a bit of a "ranger".

My bet is the Dogtra will hold up better. I train frequently and need a solid e-collar. Sportdog is fine for the budget minded folks who don't use an e-collar that much.

The Dogtra is the gold standard around here for Police Service Dogs, fwiw. Don't know any other brands as I haven't used them. I will say that the Belgian Malinois that I team up with is as hard (and hard headed) as any dog you will ever meet, regardless of the breed. The Dogtra e-collar, (and I'm sure any e-collar) is a difference maker and a life saver, when used properly. Range is good and it has held up to some serious abuse, both collar and remote. Mine is purchased for me, as is the dog, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy a Dogtra.

I use a E- collar technologies UL 1200 Think I paid 280 for it

I like it the remote transmitter floats so if you happen to drop it in the water you are fine. Has a lost remote beeper. Has vibrate, the level you set it at and a booster button as well I have mine set 5 over the regular button. Has momentary and continuous.

I like it as well for at night it has a led light on the collar you can turn on or have flashing so I can see the black dog in the dark.

Not sure how they did the wood back then, but now they have plastic I'm sure you could bend into a circle if yea needed. 👌

What I really wanna know is:   How’d get that lattice to curve like that?  Bomb diggity!

Fish Newton lake is great for walleyes. Everyone goes to basswood and forgets about newton. The late fall pike bite in pipestone is amazing and it’s a great time to catch the big walleyes are up there feeding too.

It would cost you 830 bucks to watch every game this NFL season under multiple platforms.   I don't have peacock or espn+ or whatever they want me to have, so I'll just have to relent on being able to watch a few games.  I refuse to cave in to their demands just to watch the Packers play the Eagles in Brazil.  I think last year peacock had the exclusive rights to the Miami/KC playoff game too.  I'm sure that will occur again in January.

Well it's a win, but it wasn't to Purdy with all the turn overs and penalties!

Oop, must be another Vikings game.  So far it's been a Prudy game, Viks!  😁

Another prediction.   Under the cloud of "Woke Inclusion" Just like the Mn state flag and the Mn Twins, the Vikings name will be going away in a few years! Their already making them look like Snow flakes!  We can't have the uniforms of angry Norwegian people!  Sounds funny but. Wait for it! 😒

Just sayen, not all the loyal old fans, can pay for the NFL viewing package!

New frontiers.  Expand the market; make more money.  Despite some PR moments, they’re not in it for charity.   BUT, they might want to take a moment and see how that worked out for NASCAR.  Not that having to buy premium channels to watch races was the only problem but it sure helped kill the fever for a lot of people.

Get ready. Any bets in a few years the average Joe NFL fans aren't going to be able to watch their local teams, unless it's pay for view!  Sounds like their greasing the wheels now.  There are 5 international games this year! ☹️ "The NFL will play a regular season game in Madrid, Spain in 2025, as the NFL prioritizes global growth and expands the International Games to new cities and markets around the world."
