Well based on no Response they must be biting like crazy. People have the tight jaws now.

Crappies are biting on Rush and I have heard, other East Central lakes.

Crappies in a lake close to Rush are getting that black color you see when the spawn is on.

I was on East Rush for the first time yesterday water temp was at 60 degrees. Crappies were bedding and saw several big pike along the western shore. Bite was slow but brought home 7 crappies. Weather was picture perfect.

We were back on Rush on Friday the 3rd. Playing with my Humminbird looking for fish. Spent 3 hours moving around and finally marked fish. Dropped anchor and in 45 minutes had 12, 9.5 to 12.5 inch crappies. Found them in 17 feet of water (flat mud bottom). Also caught a couple of perch and several blue gills. Threw back a dozen of so small crappies.
