I realize this is a wide open question but I am looking for opinions on Mission Lake. How does the lake compare to other lakes in the area for fishing? What about getting busy on weekends? Is it considered a "party" lake or one that is "off the radar"? Is there a "good" side vs "bad" side or area? Or asked differently - is there any part of the lake to avoid?

Reason I ask is I am looking at some cabins in the area and this is one of several lakes that I am considering. Any general comments you might have are greatly appreciate. I have never been on the lake personally but plan to get up there soon. Thanks.

Mission is a pretty nice lake, rather quiet and there are 2 parts which is nice. There is a protected slot on the Pike there so if that is an issue (Spearers have an issue with it)

Decent panfish and bass fishing.

Good all around lake, more fertile, shallower weed line than most area lakes. It gets heavy pressure for panfish in winter, not a sleeper lake when good fishing is to be had, it is popular, otherwise pretty quite and busier on weekends. Bonus is u can get to lower mission similar fishing plus nice rice beds for duck hunting, again no secret.

Good luck

Be aware that Upper Mission has a few Resorts on it and it can get a little busy on the weekends.
