Water temps

What are the current temps on the Croix? Are river temps about the same as lake temps? (in backwaters?)

I don't understand your question about river temps being the same as lake temps?

Any new temps? My question about lakes/rivers was if you were on say Whit Bear in a bay and the temp was 60 would you expect the same temp in a river backwater?

I saw low 60s on Sunday. Highest was probably around 63 degrees. Got out of there just in time to miss the storm. Didn't catch any fish but only fished for about an hour, was more of a test run for the first outing with the boat this year.

I wouldn't try to compare lake temps to the river temps. Or even one lake to another unless they're close both in distance and structure. If you click the link posted above and then click the tabulate button on the left it will show you most recent temperatures recorded in Stillwater.
