So i found a nearly brand new Benelli M2 at a smaller sporting goods store for $800, 12 ga, synthetic, 26" barrel, original box & 5 chokes.

Ended up getting it for $775-

Pretty sure this is a good deal but to be honest I don't know too much about the Benelli shotguns besides that they make a quality product basically across the board. Always been a Remington 870 guy myself but lately was thinking about getting a semi-auto and seemed like a deal too good to pass up.

Any Feedback?

Thanks!

I have owned a Benelli M1 for over 15 years, quality is superb on these guns. You did get a good deal as most of those M2's go for around $1k. I have never wanted or needed to upgrade my gun as it is a great field gun (26" barrel on mine as well makes it light and fast) and it is the best waterfowl gun I have shot besides maybe the SBII. In my opinion, as long as you clean it and take care of it (which is very easy since Benelli's don't have any quirky rods or loose pieces while taking it apart), it will last you several lifetimes. Benelli is a stand up company and will warranty any major malfunctions and they now have a US location as well.

I bought an M1 in the mid 90's that to this day is still my favorite gun. Its been flawless.

I paid just a little over $700 for it. That was a lot of money to me back then.
