What does everybody think is going to happen on Island, was up that way Sun, and it was low. South Bay is almost dry. Looks like it might be another year when residents will not get the dock/boats in. One good thing, you can see all the places you want to stay Away from.

Yeah could be another year where 4-5 feet below normal is the norm.

Take a lot of rain to fill those reservoirs back up.

They are working on the dam this spring. Heard it could drop 2 feet more. problem is the river has to have a certain flow so it to will affect the other lakes.

MN Power doesn't guarantee water level. However, the lake looks to me to be about the way it normally does this time of year. There have been lots of years when its been down 2 or 3 feet at the beginning of walleye season. A lot can happen in a month. One or two good rain storms can fill it up.

Stopped by Abbott landing on Saturday. When I was standing at the waters edge the old water lines on the rocks were up above my head and I'm 6ft tall. Something to see...

I know that is always a little low in the spring, but never as low as it is now. Have never seen South Bay empty Did you take a look at the pics Not sure if one good rain storm will help

The river coming out of Island I do not believe effects any other lake

I've never been to this area or know anything about it, but is that all land that was at one time dry in the past? It almost appears as though it was a grassy area at one point.

That was all under water with pencil reeds around the edge. Normal year, water would be just below the road and people would fish from shore
