I wanted to try the rubber band approach on the big boards before I buy a bunch of releases. What size does everyone prefer?

Just buy the releases. Rubber bands in the lake ain't good and I like the releases better. I have some if u need some to get started. I also prefer my offshore boards over running the mast n big boards. Quicker n I don't miss as many fish

I use releases and 14lb mono on boards rods.

We run both Rubber bands on the line then the bands get put in a laurvic release
