Smelt Run 2015

We got 5 gallons by the airport in last night from 9 to 11 had a few pulls with 50 to 75. got enough for bait. It was warmer by the lake for sure, snow when I got home

About 10 gallons half way down the point monday night. Nothing furious just some consistant pulls. I left early but BD110 will fill you in I believe.

We were not at the tot-lot or the bridge. We hung it up just after Midnight on Monday night. Things never got really heavy but the numbers did get better the later it got. Looked to be almost no one left when we drove over the bridge. I was working Tuesday night so I have no idea how things went then.

It's anyone's guess when things will really turn on with these temps. I plan on trying things a couple more nights but not sure how much longer I will chase them after that.

Heard it started running last night. Run started late after midnight.

Last night me n my partner got about 5 gallons. Guys by airport had 4 guys n got 15 gallons. Best time was after 11:30. Females were just starting to drop eggs in the net.

Our crew got 25 gallons last night. Couldve gotten more but we called it a night around 1am. We were all soaked from them huge waves. Tonight should be better weather. Hope u guys do well tonight if heading out tonight.......

Lispeej, they have been running hard for the last few days. Just got back fro PP and it was packed. Our group pulled 6-7 coolers averaging 3-5 gallons per pull after midnight. Get out while it's still hot! It's running from the lift ridge to the airport. good luck!

Last night and the night before were pretty good from what I heard. 3 and 5 gallon pulls were common. Ill be out tonight and tomorrow night.

My son put in at the Knife yesterday and did some trolling. When he got back a guy offered to give him ten gallons of smelt. It was more like twenty. They're running in the rivers. BC

From my observations, last night we got mostly males. The females were in the minority. With the females we saw, most were dropping eggs like there's no tomorrow. To me, it seems like either things are slowing down or they just took a break last night.

I think we still have anothe 3-4 good nights left as long as weather is ok.

Last night one of the best so far. We had 20 gal before 10pm and we left. Did seem to slow down around that time as we were packing up

It looks like most are having some good luck!! We had a great night on Monday night. This has been an interesting season with up and down temps and some heavy seas. I'm calling it quits for the season only thing left to do is get the Smelt frys started.

Last night was rough to say the least.......8 mile an hour winds with 8 mph gusts......And we didn't really get into them, but it was a great time nonetheless.

Just finished pulling. We picked up about 8 gallons. It was pretty consistent at sky harbor. The beach was loaded with folks...
