Jon boat on Pool 2 North of Lilydale?

I have a 16 foot Lowe Jon Boat with a 18 hp Nissan 4 stroke and a Minn Kota trolling unit. Is this section of the river fishable with a flat bottom?

Should work just fine.

I fished for many years down there with a 14ft that had a 15hp and never had a issue. It was not a john boat but I have seen many john boats down there. You will be fine.

Your boat would work just fine,beware of the tugs/barges as they sometimes toss a large wake.I have a 14ft deep v hull that I use down there often with never an issue.Even on the really windy days theres usually somewhere you can go to get out of the wind .Good luck
